Career opportunities at Illovo are in the fields of engineering, accounting and finance, human resources, agriculture, marketing and logistics. These opportunities are available within our South African operations as well as other African countries such as Malawi, Mozambique, Eswatini, Tanzania and Zambia. Talented staff are given opportunities to work in any of these operations through our secondment programme.

Graduate Developement Programme

Our Graduate Development Programme is designed to set the platform for bright young graduates to embark on a challenging and fulfilling career, and to make a significant contribution to the on-going growth and success of our world-class business. We are looking for people with enquiring minds and bright ideas, willing to be challenged and stretched, team players who demonstrate enthusiasm to go the extra mile in order to deliver results, committed to shaping and growing their own capabilities and careers. Our Graduate Development Programme has a proven track record, with many Middle, Senior and Director level leaders in the business having launched their careers from it. Illovo has 60 – 70 graduates across our six countries of operation participating in the Programme at any one time. In line with Illovo’s commitment to invest in people development it is structured, with a formalised one-on-one mentorship relationship, and support structures to ensure a successful outcome for every graduate selected onto the Programme. Participants are from a variety of fields, such as Accounting, Human Resources, Marketing, and especially Agricultural and a variety of Engineering disciplines.
