Opening and maintenance of case files. Make follow-ups on outstanding complaints. Submission of monthly reports. Provide statistical analysis of all complaints received. Attend to enquiries. DUTIES
E-Tutors will have the following online duties:
• Facilitate delivery of tutorials.
• Manage students’ learning experiences.

• Provide students with academic and technical support.

To be considered as an E-tutor, you must meet the following requirements:
• Not be a Unisa Fixed Term or Permanent staff member.

Job Purpose

The Mobility Department will be recruiting Traffic Students for the completion of a Further Education and Training Certificate: Road Traffic Law Enforcement. This is a twelve (12) month training course which will commence on Monday, 8 January 2024 at the Gene Louw College (GLTC), Brackenfell.

 



 

Should vacant and funded Provincial Inspector posts exist after obtaining the Further Education and Training Certificate, individuals may be offered permanent employment against such posts at one of the Provincial Traffic Centres, however, it is not guarenteed. The various Traffic Centres are as follows: Beaufort West, Caledon, George, Knysna, Laingsburg, Metro (Cape Town), Mossel Bay, Oudtshoorn, Swellendam, Vredenburg, Vredendal and Worcester. You may select only one Centre of preference closest to your residential area in the application questions. Provincial Traffic Law Enforcement provides a 24/7 traffic law enforcement service, therefore after appointment candidates will be expected to work shifts including Public holidays and Sundays and be willing to work additional hours, if required;

Successful candidates must obtain their own accommodation while attending at GLTC Brackenfell and will be responsible for there own transport, meals and accomodation fee for the duration of the 12 month course; Students will be subject to the code of conduct of the College as well as competency requirements of the College; Students will be required to undergo extensive physical training, whilst at the College.

 



 

 

Minimum Requirements

A Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification) with Mathematics, Mathematics literacy, English and a additional language with 50% or higher pass mark;

Applicants must be under 35 years of age (35 years and older do not qualify as this is a National requirement and will be excluded from process).

and accommodation to the police trainee.

Trainees will also receive medical aid benefits for the duration of the 21month Basic Training Learning

considered for permanent appointment as members of the SAPS at the rank of Constable.

Placement: Successful candidates will be trained at any SAPS Academy in South Africa and will be
placed at any Police Station / Unit in South Africa after completion of the Institution Phase.

 

 



 

 

REQUIREMENTS

APPLICANTS MUST:
Have permanent residence in the Republic of South Africa of which documentary proof must be
furnished;

Be in possession of a grade 12 school certificate or equivalent qualification of which documentary proof

Be at least eighteen (18) and under thirtyfive (35) years of age of which documentary proof must be

Be prepared to take the oath of office;

Submit himself or herself to a physical medical examination as determined by the National

Undergo and pass a psychological assessment as determined by the National Commissioner and be
found to comply with the profile of a police official;

Be prepared to successfully undergo such training as determined by the National Commissioner;

Be prepared to serve anywhere in the Republic of South Africa.

 

 

 



 

 

SELECTION PROCESS:
All applicants will be subjected to a fitness, psychometric and integrity testing as well as medical
evaluation and will be interviewed during the recruitment, selection and enlistment process. The
SAPS will also verify the qualifications, drivers licence, where applicable, citizenship and
residential address of each applicant.

Applicants will be subjected to a vetting process which will include security screening, reference
checking, and fingerprint verification to establish whether any illicit activity has been recorded or is
pending against candidates.

 




Applicants who previously served in a Government Department and who were dismissed as a
result of misconduct will not be considered for appointment in the South African Police Service

In view of the physical demands of the Basic Police Development Learning Programme, applicants

This is a Youth Development Empowerment initiative that supports the National Development Plan’s idea of formalized recruitment schemes that through theoretical training and experiential learning, afford unemployed youth of South Africa the opportunity to gain skills, knowledge and experience whilst at the same time, positioning themselves for active and meaningful participation in the labour market.
