HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT VACANCY

The following Vacancy exists within Sylvania Metals (Pty) Ltd.
Sylvania Metals is looking for a Human Resources Assistant to support the EASTERN Operations with
general administrative duties within the HR department.

Major tasks of the job:
• The incumbent will be responsible for general administration within the HR department
• Take and type minutes of meetings
• Labour Management
• Posting of job adverts, screening and shortlisting of candidates
• Scheduling and conducting interviews
• Ensuring background and reference checks are completed
• Organize and maintain personnel records

• Preparation and related administration in respect to discipline
• Booking employees for medical examinations and induction as and when required
• Complete Medical and Provident documentation
• Providing customer service to employees
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders

Knowledge/Education Requirement:
• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Human Resources Management Certificate / Diploma or Equivalent qualification.
• Proficient in English
• Computer literate
Experience and requirements:
• Minimum of 2 to 3 years’ HR experience
• Valid code 8 driver’s license & own vehicle

Personality Requirements:
• Team player, self-motivated, enthusiastic individual
• Good communication skills
• Time management and attention to detail
• Be able to work under pressure
Other Requirements:
• Stay in close proximity of the Eastern Operation Plants
