<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Skills and Requirements:</strong></p>



<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>An appropriate professional teaching qualification from a recognised institution (university degree and professional qualification or B Ed Intermediate/Senior Phase);</li><li>Knowledgeable and intellectually inquisitive with the drive and passion for developing and caring for children;</li><li>An open and creative outlook to education;</li><li>Ability to adapt to change;</li><li>Excellent computer literacy skills and the ability to adapt and guide online learning;</li><li>Self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills (with pupils, staff and parents);</li><li>Excellent organisational and time management skills;</li><li>Exceptional administration skills and a willingness to develop inspiring, contemporary teaching material;</li><li>Ability to promote and embrace diversity and inclusion;</li><li>Willingness and commitment to contribute to the school extracurricular and outdoor education programmes;</li><li>SACE registered with the requisite clearance certificates.</li></ul>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Duties and Responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to:</strong></p>



<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>Taking responsibility for the position of Grade 6 Class Teacher (planning, preparing and delivering lessons);</li><li>Ensuring a classroom environment that promotes learning;</li><li>Incorporating thinking skills in order to foster independent, critical and creative thinkers;</li><li>Applying differential lesson plans to meet the educational needs, abilities and achievements of the individual pupil and groups of pupils;</li><li>Relationship building-ability to engage with learners and their families on a personal level to help pupils progress toward educational and behavioural goals;</li><li>Collaborating with colleagues, must be a team player;</li><li>Keeping attendance records and ensure order and discipline from pupils;</li><li>Contributing meaningfully to the life and extracurricular activities of the school, including pastoral care, sport, outdoor education and other school events/functions;</li><li>Incorporating the ethos and values of the school into all aspects of education;</li><li>General administration.</li></ul>
