<p><label>Requirements</label></p>
<div data-bind="text: requirementsDescription">Grade 12 or equivalent qualification and records management experience</div>
<div data-bind="text: requirementsDescription">The National Archives Certificate on Records Management and/or a three-year tertiary qualification will be an added advantage</div>
<div data-bind="text: requirementsDescription">2–3-year background in an archival/Information management environment will be an added advantage</div>
<div data-bind="text: requirementsDescription">Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills; computer literacy (MS Word and MS Excel)</div>
<div data-bind="text: requirementsDescription">Knowledge of online records management system. Ability to implement the file plan effectively</div>
<div data-bind="text: requirementsDescription">The candidate must be able to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure.</div>

<p><label>Duties</label></p>
<div data-bind="text: dutyDescription">Ensure that records are archived in line with registry procedures. Maintain an efficient record keeping system; proper maintenance and application of an approved file plan; proper filing of records which includes the classification, neat and correct placing of documents on files; responsible for the maintenance of all files in terms of archive regulations.</div>
<div data-bind="text: dutyDescription">Making files available on request; tracing of files and other administrative tasks; opening and closing of files and daily mail; dispatch of outgoing mail; courier of documents; safe custody and protection of records.</div>
<div data-bind="text: dutyDescription">Interpret and guide staff on the usage of the organizational file plan. Participate in orientation and training sessions</div>
<div data-bind="text: dutyDescription">Any work delegated from time to time.</div>
