<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p>
<p>To provide a security service to the university property, staff, students and other stakeholders. Responsible to guard university property and assets and create a safe and secure environment. In execution of duties also monitor and report incidents observed. This includes responsibilities related to traffic, gate, undercover, patrol and events / adhoc tasks.</p>
<p> ;</p>
<p><strong>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS</strong>:</p>
<p>Grade 6</p>
<p>6 Months experience in a Security environment</p>
<p>PSIRA Grade C</p>
<p> ;</p>
<p><strong>REQUIRED COMPETENCIES (Skills, KNOWLEDGE AND BEHAVIOURAL ATTRIBUTES):</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Security operational skills</li>
<li>Customer service skills</li>
<li>Communication skills</li>
<li>Access control procedures</li>
<li>Knowledge of relevant legislation e.g. Regulation of Security Officers Act, National Road Traffic Act and Regulations, Occupational Health and Safety Act.</li>
</ul>
