<p><strong><u>REQUIREMENTS</u></strong></p>
<p><strong>-Grade 10. </strong></p>
<p><strong>-Grade 12 (added advantage). </strong></p>
<p><strong>-Valid Driver’s License (added advantage). </strong></p>
<p><strong>-Excellent interpersonal &; communication skills (must be bilingual). </strong></p>
<p><strong>&#8211; Applicants that reside within the Midvaal area will be given preference </strong></p>
<p><strong>&#8211; Ability to follow &; execute given instructions. </strong></p>
<p><strong>-Good physical health, basic skill &; know how of doing physical work. </strong></p>
<p><strong>&#8211; Must meet operational requirements of the post </strong></p>
<p><strong>-A hard-working self-disciplined person. </strong></p>
<p><strong>-0-1 year relevant experience as machine operator (brush/bush cutter) within a Local Government Authority will be an added advantage. </strong></p>

<p><strong><u>DUTIES</u></strong></p>
<p><strong>-Cut grass and clean area according to grass cutting schedules. </strong></p>
<p><strong>-Do any work with hands or garden tools on sport fields, flowerbeds, pavements etc. to create a clean and tidy environment as and when. </strong></p>
<p><strong>-Responsible for safe usage and maintenance of machines. </strong></p>
<p><strong>-Pick up all rubble, garden refuse, etc. in flowerbeds or on sport fields. </strong></p>
<p><strong>-Cutting grass using various ride on lawnmowers and brush cutter machine. </strong></p>
<p><strong>-Regularly inspecting equipment. -Checking to see that equipment is safe for use, otherwise discard and work with hand tools. </strong></p>

<p><strong>-Put out traffic signs to warn traffic and persons about workers next to municipal roads, islands, pavements, open spaces etc. </strong></p>
<p><strong>-Use garden tools to clean areas when machines are out of order or during winter months. </strong></p>
<p><strong>-Clean parks and cemeteries, clinics, libraries, sports centres, depots and other municipal facilities and buildings and perform other general works necessary.</strong></p>
<p><strong> -Do winter treatment of all sport fields during winter months. </strong></p>
<p><strong>-Perform any other related Ad Hoc tasks and duties as requested by management (supervisor) from time to time.</strong></p>
