<p><strong>Job description</strong></p>
<p><strong>Receive, evaluate and pay NWU undergraduate on new SIST system</strong></p>
<p><strong>· Evaluate applications of below list of bursaries on daily basis.</strong></p>
<p><strong>· Capture status on SIS on daily basis.</strong></p>
<p><strong>· Provide Student Group-list to Student Account Department.</strong></p>
<p><strong>· Prepare pay-out file on daily basis.</strong></p>
<p><strong>· Follow up on incomplete applications.</strong></p>
<p><strong>o Freshers merit (Private schools and Cambridge results).</strong></p>
<p><strong>o Senior merit (Students from other institutions).</strong></p>
<p><strong>o Sport bursaries received from Dept Sport.</strong></p>
<p><strong>o Culture bursaries received from Dept Culture.</strong></p>
<p><strong>o Orphan bursaries</strong></p>
<p><strong>o Disability bursaries.</strong></p>
<p><strong>o Undergrad recruitment bursaries received from the Marketing Department.</strong></p>
<p> ;</p>
<p> ;</p>
<p><strong>NWU undergraduate bursaries automated in SIST</strong></p>
<p><strong>· Administer and verify the following automated NWU Bursaries</strong></p>
<p><strong>o Freshers’ merits</strong></p>
<p><strong>o Senior merits</strong></p>
<p><strong>o Family discount</strong></p>
<p><strong>Monthly reconciliation of all bursary accounts</strong></p>
<p><strong>o Monthly reconciliation of all bursary accounts with outstanding balances on month end before or on 10th working day of each month.</strong></p>

<p><strong>Assist with private bursaries and SETA funding</strong></p>
<p><strong>· Capture applications on system.</strong></p>
<p><strong>· Capture data of successful students on spreadsheets.</strong></p>
<p><strong>· Provide allowance detail to Student Accounts for processing.</strong></p>
<p><strong>· Provide fee statements, proof of registration, academic records as required by sponsors/SETA.</strong></p>
<p><strong>· Pay bursaries to student account.</strong></p>

<p><strong>Records Management</strong></p>
<p><strong>· E-Filing of documents and signed MOU/MOA in terms of NWU record management policy.</strong></p>

<p><strong>Ad-Hoc requests and client services</strong></p>
<p><strong>· Fulfil all ad hoc requests when required.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Occupational Health and Safety</strong></p>
<p><strong>· Comply with OHS rules and regulations.</strong></p>

<p><strong>KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:</strong></p>
<p><strong>· Numerical competent and accurate with attention to detail.</strong></p>

<p><strong>· A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Bursary Administration.</strong></p>

<p><strong>REMUNERATION:</strong></p>
<p><strong>The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.</strong></p>
