<p><strong>LEARNER SURVEY X1 (GRADING B5)</strong></p>
<p><strong><em><u>Qualifying Criteria :</u></em></strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Grade 11 or equivalent</strong></li>
<li><strong>Mathematics and Science will be advantageous</strong></li>
<li><strong>Basic numeracy skills are required and essential</strong></li>
<li><strong>interpersonal communication skills are required and essential</strong></li>
<li><strong>Competency B Certificate from MQA</strong></li>
<li><strong>Studying towards a qualification in Mine Surveying will be advantageous</strong></li>
<li><strong>Computer literacy and MRM/ survey systems will be advantageous</strong></li>
<li><strong>Proficient in English and any other of 11 official languages</strong></li>
<li><strong>Flexibility is required and essential (able to work on Sundays and public holidays etc.)</strong></li>
<li><strong>3-5 years in a mining environment, and or having worked in a survey or sampling department will be advantageous</strong></li>
<li><strong>Ability to read and interpret mine working plan will be advantageous</strong></li>
<li><strong>South African Citizenship</strong></li>
<li><strong>Clear Criminal Record</strong></li>

<p><strong> <em><u>Responsibilities :</u></em></strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Provide support and best practices within Survey Department</strong></li>
<li><strong>Assist with both underground and surface measuring</strong></li>
<li><strong>Assist the surveyor with the installation of survey pegs and Grade pegs</strong></li>
<li><strong>Must be able to read a tape measure</strong></li>
<li><strong>Carry, clean and maintain Survey equipment </strong></li>
<li><strong>Always take instructions from the supervisor(s) responsible for the shift</strong></li>
<li><strong>Conduct all work according to required standards and specifications</strong></li>
<li><strong>Adhere to MHSA standards &; Gold1’s safety motto : “Nothing is so important that it cannot be done safely”</strong></li>
