<p><strong>Job Advert Summary</strong></p>
<p><strong>Reporting to the Programme Manager in the Capital Execution Department, the incumbent will be responsible for the provision of leadership and support to the SAM division projects, ensuring successful implementation of projects within schedule, budget and quality. </strong></p>
<p> ;</p>
<p><strong>The incumbent will also be responsible for providing discipline specific engineering support to the project manager and/ or other engineers in strict compliance with Rand Waters Project Execution guidelines. The incumbent will ensure the achievement of fit for purpose engineering solutions. Overall this role is to ensure that the supply of bulk potable water is met.</strong></p>

<p><strong>Minimum Requirements</strong></p>
<p><strong>Applicants must be in possession of a Tertiary degree qualification in the engineering discipline such as;BEng/BSc/BTech;</strong></p>
<p><strong>Professionally registered as Technologist/ Technician/ Engineer; (PrEng/PrTech) with ECSA will be an</strong></p>
<p><strong>advantage;</strong></p>
<p><strong>Project Management Diploma/ Certificate will be an advantage;</strong></p>
<p><strong>5 -10 Years experience in site supervison of construction projects projects ; project administrative/ contract</strong></p>
<p><strong>management environments;</strong></p>
<p><strong>Proven communication skills, strong influencing skills, and stakeholder management skills.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Water Industry experience.</strong></p>
<p> ;</p>
<p><strong>Primary Duties</strong></p>
<p><strong>Ensure that all the Rand Water Project Management Standards are adhered to during construction.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Perform engineering duties in planning, designing, and overseeing construction of infrastructure related projects.</strong></p>
<p> ;</p>
<p><strong>Assist in the supervision, inspection and approval of work done on a project, and ensure that it adheres to approved specifications. Must use their expertise to evaluate construction projects and determine the best engineering method or practice to accomplish the job.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Apply conceptual thinking in order to optimize a project.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Guide the Project Manager on technical related matters on projects, and to then select and apply the most suitable engineering techniques to solve problems.</strong></p>
<p> ;</p>
<p><strong>Liaise with contractors, colleagues and/or other specialists such as quality assurance specialists,financial specialists, to ensure a successful project execution and handover.</strong></p>
<p><strong>To act in a lead role in project technical meetings and may have the sole responsibility for progress and other report writing.</strong></p>
<p> ;</p>
<p><strong>Outlines and assigns work, reviews it for technical accuracy and adequacy, and may plan, direct, coordinate and supervise the work of other professional and technical staff (including contractors).</strong></p>
<p><strong>Oversee Compliance: The incumbent must make sure his/her projects adhere to all contractual,legislative and industry specific requirements.</strong></p>
