<p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p>
<p><strong>Asset Management</strong></p>
<p><strong>· Record, retire, transfer, edit, and update assets in the asset register as per approved requests</strong></p>
<p><strong>· Manage asset inquiries promptly and professionally</strong></p>
<p><strong>Allocation and capitalisation of fixed assets</strong></p>
<p><strong>· Review and correct any misallocated asset purchases</strong></p>
<p><strong>· Examine expenses across all campuses to verify and ensure accurate transaction allocations</strong></p>
<p><strong>Quarterly capitalisation of capital projects</strong></p>
<p><strong>· Assist Accountant with quarterly capitalisation journals and KFS updates for expenses</strong></p>
<p><strong>Asset Verification</strong></p>
<p><strong>· Update &; rectification of fixed assets register based on scope as provided by Accountant</strong></p>

<p><strong>Assist with management of the fixed assets sub-system within KFS</strong></p>
<p><strong>· Ad-hoc assignments as requested by the director and other senior colleagues</strong></p>
<p><strong>· Personal development</strong></p>
<p><strong>· Compliance with the policies, standards and guidelines of the NWU</strong></p>
<p><strong>Month-End &; Year-End processes</strong></p>
<p><strong>· Assist GRT-CAM Accountant during the month-end and year-end procedures relating to CAM</strong></p>
<p><strong>Ad-hoc assignments</strong></p>
<p><strong>· Ad-hoc assignments as requested by the director and other senior colleagues</strong></p>
<p><strong>OHS (Occupational Health and Safety)</strong></p>
<p><strong>· Mandatory compliance</strong></p>
<p><strong>· Participate in fire evacuation drills and bomb threats – report at central assembly point for rollcall</strong></p>
