<p><strong>JOB PROFILE</strong></p>
<p><strong>JOB PURPOSE</strong></p>
<p><strong>The purpose of the role is to operate an 8-ton truck, and other company vehicles, to transport goods and materials to designated locations.</strong></p>
<p><strong>The employee will be responsible for ensuring the efficient loading of products, safe and timely delivery of the products while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations and offloading of products at customer sites.</strong></p>

<p><strong>MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>

<li><strong>VEHICLE MAINTENANCE</strong>
<ul>
<li><strong>Conduct vehicle inspections weekly.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Ensure vehicle inspection checklists are completed accurately.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Report any deviations immediately to the Warehouse Supervisor.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Ensure fuel consumption is achieved as per company standards.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Ensure vehicle is always clean and presentable.</strong></li>

<li><strong>Assist with packing and load product onto vehicles according to company specifications.</strong>

<li><strong>Verify quality of products loaded onto vehicle.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Ensure correct stock is loaded onto the vehicle as per the Invoice.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Ensure goods is properly secured on the vehicle.</strong></li>
</ul>

<li><strong>Efficient delivery of orders to customers on assigned routes, on time and in full.</strong>
<ul>
<li><strong>Ensure effective route planning.</strong></li>
</ul>

<li><strong>Maintain accurate records of deliveries and ensure all relevant paperwork is signed and returned.</strong>

<li><strong>Complete trips sheets as per delivery requirements and ensure authorisation before departure.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Obtain delivery confirmations from each customer and ensure PODs are signed according to requirements and submitted to admin office daily.</strong></li>
</ul>

<li><strong>Offload product at customer site as per client requirements.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Pre-load vehicles for next –day deliveries.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Collect outworks and credits as required by the needs of the company and complete all required paperwork accurately.</strong>

<li><strong>Ensure Credits Return Slip Voucher is completed and signed accordingly.</strong></li>
</ul>

<li><strong>Always ensure adherence to Road Traffic Act.</strong>
<ul>
<li><strong>Comply with all traffic laws and follow safe driving practices while operating a company vehicle.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Report any traffic offences to the Warehouse Supervisor immediately.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Ensure driver’s license and PrDPs are always valid.</strong></li>
