<p><strong>MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB</strong></p>
<p><strong>To support nursing unit staff in delivering safe and quality patient care that promotes and meets the healthcare needs of patients</strong></p>
<p> ;</p>
<p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS</strong></p>
<p><strong>Support and assist nursing unit staff in the delivery of quality patient care within a team approach</strong></p>
<p><strong>Identify and report risks in line with hospital policies</strong></p>
<p><strong>Contribute to a positive patient experience through assisting the nursing unit staff</strong></p>
<p><strong>Provide administrative support to the nursing unit staff as specified</strong></p>
<p><strong>Contribute to a learning environment that builds staff competence by participating in continuous personal development</strong></p>
<p><strong>Ensure that required stock is utilised efficiently and accurately charged</strong></p>

<p><strong>REQUIRED EDUCATION</strong></p>
<p><strong>ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: An appropriate qualification as a Care Worker</strong></p>
<p><strong>DESIRED EDUCATION: Grade 12</strong></p>
<p><strong>REQUIRED EXPERIENCE</strong></p>
<p><strong>Essential minimum experience: Experience in a healthcare environment</strong></p>
<p><strong>DESIRED EXPERIENCE: None </strong></p>
<p><strong>REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE</strong></p>
<p><strong>Understanding of stock control principles</strong></p>
<p><strong>Reporting and documenting events / tasks</strong></p>
<p><strong>Knowledge of Medico,legal risks</strong></p>
<p><strong>Knowledge of administrative tasks</strong></p>
<p><strong>Understanding of patient experience aspects</strong></p>
<p><strong>Understanding of patient care principles</strong></p>
<p><strong>Application of infection prevention and control principles</strong></p>
