Requirements
Minimum qualifications: Grade 10 / ABET Level 4 certificate or above (original certified school report/transcript, not older than 6 months).
Twelve (12) months proven experience in a formal clinical or hospital environment will be an added advantage.
EPWP candidates with recent hospital/clinical cleaning experience will have an advantage (attach service certificate as proof of employment from the company listed on CV).
EPWP candidates must include a recent stamped and signed motivation from their immediate supervisor as proof of program participation.
Ability to work in a team environment, under pressure, and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of Batho Pele Principles.
Willingness to work shift work, including weekends and public holidays, when requested.
Duties
Perform cleaning services as per work schedule using a variety of heavy cleaning equipment and chemicals.
Clean clinical and non-clinical areas within the hospital.
Conduct terminal cleaning of infectious areas.
Strip and seal vinyl floors, scrub tiled floors, and vacuum carpet floors.
Clean windows, walls, door frames, and handles.
Clean bathrooms and toilets.
Remove general waste in designated areas.
Perform any other cleaning activities as directed by team leader/supervisor.
Cope with physical demands of the work individually or in a team.
Be prepared to rotate to different areas in the hospital.
