<p><strong>Job Profile:</strong></p>
<p><strong>To provide security and protection for the Corporation and all other stakeholders, local and international. To comply with all Constitutional and legislative obligations as well as regulatory requirements, in addition, international agreements in terms of security and protection of Corporation&#8217;s installations, sites, premises, materials, employees and visitors. Performing Access and Egress control duties during a Shift for all Necsa allocated operational entrances, exit and facilities.</strong></p>

<p><strong>Principal Accountabilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Control people, vehicles, and materials at an access and egress control point. All persons passing through the</strong></li>
<li><strong>NECSA access control portals are positively identified.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Access control system is used by all persons passing through the NECSA access and egress control portals.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Ensures No unauthorised persons, vehicles, and articles pass through the access and egress control point.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Searching Persons, goods, and vehicles in according to SSD procedures unauthorised persons.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Conducting security patrols and duties in an assigned area with the purpose to deter, detect, report, react, and</strong></li>
<li><strong>detain.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Interpreting instructions for a specific patrol in order to inform on patrol activities and gathered information to</strong></li>
<li><strong>compile a report (Interpretation refers to examining information who, what, where, when, why and how).</strong></li>
<li><strong>Escorting of authorised persons, goods and vehicles ( Escort may include but is not limited to accompanying</strong></li>
<li><strong>persons, goods and vehicles in reaching their destination on a given security premises but does not refer to</strong></li>
<li><strong>close protection escorting practices or assets in transit practices).</strong></li>
<li><strong>Preparing for security patrols and duties, ensure having necessary equipment to perform the duties.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Identifying an emergency situation.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Assisting with an evacuation drill</strong></li>
<li><strong>Ensure Firearms are handled and user maintenance is done in accordance with NECSA firearms procedures.</strong></li>

<p><strong>General </strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Valid driver’s licence: Code B or higher.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Meets vetting requirements for post (No criminal record).</strong></li>
<li><strong>Between the ages of 18 – 35.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Physical fit to conduct security work such as access and egress control</strong></li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Academic </strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Grade 12/ NQF level 4.</strong></li>
<li><strong>PSIRA Grade C or higher</strong></li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li><strong>Valid SAPS firearm competency for all NKP specified types and proficiency for all at business level.</strong></li>
<li><strong>NKP certificate of competency and course report/ statement results separately.</strong><strong>Experience </strong></li>
<li><strong>At least 2- 3 years of working experience in general security.</strong></li>
<li><strong>The following would be advantageous:</strong></li>

</ul>
<p><strong>&#8211; Experience in working at a National Key Point environment will be an added advantage</strong></p>
