About the Pharmacist Assistant Learner Role
The Pharmacist Assistant Learner will assist in the provision of medication and supplementary pharmaceutical services to patients and healthcare professionals. All duties will be carried out under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting with dispensing medication
Supporting pharmaceutical services within the hospital
Meeting patient needs in a responsible and cost-effective manner
Ensuring compliance with professional and ethical healthcare standards
Supporting members of the healthcare team
This role offers valuable experience in hospital pharmacy operations and patient care.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the Netcare Pharmacist Assistant Learner Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Grade 12 with Core Mathematics (Pure Maths) and Physical Science or Life Sciences (Essential)
Must be a South African citizen
ACI candidates under the age of 35 will be given preference
People living with disabilities are encouraged to apply
Must upload Grade 12 results and ID copy with application

Monthly Stipend
Successful learners will receive a stipend of R3 000 per month, funded by HWSETA. This financial support allows learners to focus on developing their professional skills while gaining hands-on experience in a hospital environment.
