Requirements

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent

Aircraft Assistant Duties

  • Removing and reinstalling cargo liners, floor panels, insulation blankets and interior panels under supervision

  • Preparing aircraft and work areas before maintenance
  • Cleaning aircraft structures, components and work areas
  • Moving aircraft components, tools and equipment
  • Retrieving and returning tooling, materials and consumables

  • Maintaining good housekeeping standards
  • Cleaning and returning tools and equipment after use

The Aircraft Assistant may also be required to support other Heavy Maintenance sections when operationally necessary.
