POSITIONS: TEMPORARY GENERAL WORKERS

LOCATION: Vele Aluwoni Colliery – MUSINA

REPORTING TO: Maintenance Semi Skilled Worker Positions

DESCRIPTION

Applications are invited for 10 x Temporary General Workers positions for MC Mining under Property Management Division/ Unit based at Dongola Ranch/ Lodge in Musina.

 

 

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS

 

• Grade 10
• Grade 12 and N6 relevant qualifications will be an added advantage
• Minimum three years’ experience in built environment
• Physical good health
• Good knowledge of tools and equipment, safe handling, and aftercare, including chainsaw, lawnmowers, brush cutters etc.
• Ability to assist with general maintenance and repairs to all types of infrastructure
• Basic knowledge of health and safety in the workplace
• Safe handling and use of power tools will be on added advantage.
• Possession of some relevant technical certificates will be an added advantage

 

 

DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES

 

• Perform semi-skilled tasks that may include electric work, welding, thatching, building, carpentry, pointing, plumbing,tiling, paving in accordance with predetermined quality and productivity standards.
• Perform routine maintenance of facilities such is lodge and staff accommodation, swimming pools, ablution blocks, roods, fences, administration, and offices
• Performing duties of o technical nature within the incumbent’s capabilities.
• Assisting with other ad hoc tasks as required by Supervisor/ Management
• Performing biodiversity offsets duties as required by Supervisor/ Management.
• Ensure safety within the work environment and for others
• Be able to work under pressure as well as overtime if so requirements
• Be reliable, responsible, dependable, and fulfilling job obligations
• Ability to learn other technical skills
