<p><strong><u>REQUIREMENTS</u></strong></p>
<p><strong>&#8211; Basic Literacy or Grade 10. </strong></p>
<p><strong>&#8211; Grade 12 (added advantage). </strong></p>
<p><strong>&#8211; Valid Driver’s License (added advantage). </strong></p>
<p><strong>&#8211; Excellent interpersonal &; communication skills (must be bilingual). </strong></p>
<p><strong>&#8211; Ability to follow &; execute given instructions. </strong></p>
<p><strong>&#8211; Good physical health, basic skill &; know how of doing physical work. </strong></p>
<p><strong>&#8211; A hard-working self-disciplined person. </strong></p>
<p><strong>– 01-year relevant experience in general work related to Waste management within Local Government Authority.</strong></p>
<p> ;</p>
<p><strong><u>DUTIES</u></strong></p>
<p><strong>-Performs litter control and any other general labour consistent with operating a waste disposal facility. &#8211; General upkeep of landfill and operations. </strong></p>
<p><strong>&#8211; Help at recycling centre when needed. </strong></p>
<p><strong>&#8211; Assist spotters with directing and controlling landfill traffic. </strong></p>
<p><strong>&#8211; Assists customers and the public in waste disposal. </strong></p>
<p><strong>&#8211; Picks up metal and any other sharp objects to reduce exposure to customer flat tires. </strong></p>
<p><strong>&#8211; Responsible to store equipment in a safe manner, after completion of the duty to ensure safe up-keeping of the protective clothes in use during work. </strong></p>
<p> ;</p>
<p><strong>&#8211; Responsible to clean and remove weeds on the pavements. </strong></p>
<p><strong>&#8211; Responsible for loading and off-loading of materials and equipment of the section as and when required. </strong></p>
<p><strong>&#8211; Refuse removal from households. </strong></p>
<p><strong>&#8211; Sweeping of streets, sidewalks, taxi and bus ranks. </strong></p>
<p><strong>&#8211; Picking of litter along the streets and main roads, including public open spaces. </strong></p>
<p><strong>&#8211; Removal of building rubbles from public places. </strong></p>
<p><strong>&#8211; Empty streets and public dustbins. </strong></p>
<p><strong>&#8211; Cleaning of rubbish in front of building, street, taxi and bus ranks, open space. </strong></p>
<p><strong>&#8211; Cleaning of municipal buildings and facilities. </strong></p>
<p><strong>&#8211; Perform any other duties within waste management section as may be delegated by the supervisor /manager. </strong></p>
<p><strong>&#8211; Execution of all legal instructions from the supervisor to ensure productivity and smooth running of the section. </strong></p>
<p><strong>&#8211; Perform any other related Ad Hoc tasks and duties as requested or required by management (supervisor) from time to time.</strong></p>
