<p><strong>The Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA) invites applications from unemployed candidates to apply for a twelve (12) months Learnership Programme opportunity for the Financial Year 2024/2025.</strong></p>

<strong>Stipend: R3 500.00 per month</strong><br />
<strong>Duration: Twelve (12) months</strong></p>

<p><strong>Learnership Unemployed Programme: National Certificate in Nature Conservation: Resource Guardianship Terrestrial (NQF 2).</strong></p>
<p><strong>The programmes integrate practical, theory and includes both structured work experience and structural learning with an accredited training provider – leading to an SAQA accredited qualification.</strong></p>

<ul>
<li><strong>Unemployed South African between the ages of 18 and 35 years.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Must have Grade 12</strong></li>
<li><strong>Attach Curriculum Vitae (CV) and ID copy.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Must be interested in working outdoors and doing practical work.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Valid proof of residence.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Must be residing in the Mpumalanga Province.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Not studying at any tertiary institution.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Not registered for any other learnerships.</strong></li>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading joli-heading jtoc-heading" id="duties-and-responsibilities"><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong></h2>
<ul>
<li><strong>Assisting in the conservation of biodiversity on the reserves and conservation areas.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Monitoring and removal of invasive vegetation.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Assist with task such as fire, rehabilitation and restoration, infrastructure maintenance, monitoring fauna and flora, plant propagation and administration.</strong></li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><strong>Collection of data to best achieve the objectives.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Interacting with community members, residents, businesses owners and organizations to promote environmental education and awareness and involvement in the reserve.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Complete assessment timeously and in relation to practical experience on the reserves.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Attend training and learner support sessions.</strong></li>
</ul>
