We produce high-grade iron ore, the key component in steel widely used in construction and manufacturing across the world. Our activities include all aspects – exploration; mining; processing and blending; shipping; marketing and selling. In South Africa, we have mining operations in the Northern Cape province, as well as a head office in Centurion, Gauteng, and a port operation in Saldanha Bay, Western Cape.
Job Description:
As our Access Control & Receptionist of your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Adhere to all health and safety practices and requirements.
Maintain good housekeeping to ensure compliance and an environment where team members can deliver their outputs within a controlled risk environment.
Active participation in SLAMs, HPHs, relevant Risk Assessments and close-out of Safety Actions.
Receives all scheduled individuals and places them in the relevant onboarding queue.
Capture all training (Induction, Safety A1.2, A2, A3, “We Care” on SAP against individual record.
Prepare monthly training statistics.
Prepare monthly training schedules, including Instructors and facilities.
Issue access card once all activities are completed.
Process all documentation according to company policies and procedures and document control principles within specified time frames to ensure compliance.
Prepare documentation for medicals for LIFE (Outsourced Occupational Health Provider) to be used for invoicing.
File all documents by document control requirements to ensure compliance and ease of retrieval for future reference.
Address queries and provide timely feedback to ensure efficient problem resolution and customer satisfaction.
Professionally and effectively route individuals through the onboarding process.
Assist the supervisor and co-workers according to their level/area of competence and follow company policies when instructed or during the responsible person’s absence to ensure the achievement of functional objectives.
This role is in SHEPS & Contractor Management (SHEPS&CM) department on a band A5 level reporting to the Onboarding Advisor
Qualifications:
Grade 12/ N3 Technical
Relevant Administrative Certificate on NQF4
SA Drivers Licence
Technical Knowledge
2-3 years of experience in administrative tasks, preferably in an onboarding /access control environment.
Knowledge of office logistics and procedures.
Emergency procedures.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word, Outlook) and SAP (preferred)
