<strong>Position: IG Community Safety Officers EPWP (x8)</strong><br />
<strong>Contract Duration: 9 Months</strong></p>
<p><strong>Rate: R271.14 per day</strong></p>
<p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>A Grade 12</strong></li>
<li><strong>Valid Security Certificates (PSIRA)</strong></li>
<li><strong>Clean criminal record</strong></li>
<li><strong>18 &#8211; 35 years.</strong></li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities: </strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Assist Security Officers at access control points</strong></li>
<li><strong>Protect and secure Council premises, property, and personnel through regular patrols to prevent crime on Council premises</strong></li>
<li><strong>Patrol with law enforcement officers to monitor and enforce by-law compliance within the municipal</strong><br />
<strong>jurisdiction and any other areas of Council interest</strong></li>
<li><strong>Manage and oversee access control by completing necessary registers and confirming appointments.</strong></li>

<p><strong>NB: THE POSITIONS ADVERTISED ABOVE ARE EXPANDED PUBLIC WORKS PROGRAMME</strong><br />
<strong>(EPWP) WORK OPPORTUNITIES AND WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR A LIMITED CONTRACTUAL</strong><br />
<strong>PERIOD ONLY. SUITABLE CANDIDATES WILL UNDERGO A SUITABILITY CHECK, INCLUDING A</strong><br />
<strong>CRIMINAL RECORD AND QUALIFICATION VERIFICATION.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Incumbents must be prepared to work in various geographical areas across the City of Polokwane&#8217;s</strong><br />
<strong>Council premises. Preference will be given to applicants residing within the City of Polokwane&#8217;s</strong><br />
<strong>jurisdiction.</strong></p>
<p><strong>The Municipality reserves the right not to make an appointment. Preference will be given to candidates from designated groups in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Equity Act and the Council&#8217;s employment equity plan, targets, and goals.
