voice for weather and climate related services in South Africa and is a member of the World
Meteorological Organisation (WMO) to fulfil a range of international obligations of the government.

The South African Weather Service (SAWS) is therefore seeking to appoint an efficient and enthusiastic
person to undertake the role of:
HR Administrator
Salary total package: Negotiable

Job Summary:
• To provide efficient HCM related administration services to the HCM team and their stakeholders,
assist with ensuring the department’s compliance with the relevant legislation, SAWS policies and
procedures, as well as the requisite Total Quality Management processes.
• Act as the first point of call when there are HCM queries from external stakeholders

 

Key Performance Areas:
• Submission of a complete set of onboarding and termination documentation to the payroll department within the prescribed timeframes.
• Manage the employee termination process, including sending the requisite notice to ICT and paperwork to the payroll
• Responsible for the posting of adverts on the online-recruitment system and handling related queries
• Preparation of interview packs and forwarding the interview schedule to reception
• Administration of the employee verification process, including the processing of the related invoices
• Drafting of employment contracts following the receipt of the appointment letters for the HRBPs.
• Maintain an accurate, updated, and secured employee record filing system
• Proper recordkeeping of and filing of signed HCM meetings minutes
• Liaising with the HRBP to ensure the mapping of the HCM process in accordance with the approved TQM standard and that these are posted on SharePoint

 

Required Minimum Education/Training:
• National Diploma in Human Resources Management or related filed
• A degree will be an added advantage
• Knowledge of the Labour Relations, Basic Conditions of Employment, Skills Development,
Employment Equity, BBBEE, POPI Acts and all other related prescripts.

 

Required Minimum Work Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience
• TQM experience and a valid drivers’ licence is an added advantage
• SAGE ESS experience will be an added advantage
• Stakeholder engagement and proven track record in ability to engage at all occupational levels
