<p><strong>Description:</strong><br />
<strong>Provide input into the annual budget;</strong><br />
<strong>Manage costs by engaging suppliers for the most effective rates;</strong><br />
<strong>Monitor and renegotiate service provider contracts when services are added or removed;</strong><br />
<strong>Oversee and manage the initial IATA airport slot submissions and schedule alignment;</strong><br />
<strong>Maintain current navigation platforms and offer input for optimization;</strong><br />
<strong>Remain up to date with travel policies and cross border destination requirements;</strong><br />
<strong>Manage compliance on Post Flight Documentation as per the regulations;</strong><br />
<strong>Manage the procedures related to Jumpseat bookings;</strong></p>
<p><strong>Manage Interdepartmental Communications relating to all Schedule, Navigation and 90-day retention documentation requirements;</strong><br />
<strong>Monitor the continuous improvement and compliance to airport slot;</strong><br />
<strong>Participate in all briefings concerning contract flying to understand contractual requirements and ensure compliance;</strong><br />
<strong>Manage and compile fuel projections through the analysis of fuel usage;</strong><br />
<strong>Oversee and ensure compliance of the Airport Slots including the initial slot submissions per schedule period;</strong><br />
<strong>Maintain slot management within the current season;</strong><br />
<strong>Manage all audits relating to 90-day retention documentation requirements;</strong><br />
<strong>Manage the compliance of work instructions and manuals pertaining to the function;</strong><br />
<strong>Review manuals and work instructions annually;</strong><br />
<strong>Provide monthly reports to the Senior Manager;</strong><br />
<strong>Operations on functional performance indicators;</strong><br />
<strong>Report statistics to other departments on a monthly basis;</strong><br />
<strong>Provide monthly reports detailing fuel usage;</strong><br />
<strong>Oversee the team and report on the team&#8217;s performance;</strong></p>
<p><strong>Provide overall guidance to the team;</strong><br />
<strong>Set team goals in order to meet the overall business need;</strong><br />
<strong>Motivate, organise and encourage teamwork within the team to ensure productivity;</strong><br />
<strong>Identify skill development areas for succession planning purposes;</strong><br />
<strong>Promote effective communication amongst team members;</strong><br />
<strong>Oversee and manage complex projects, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and timely completion;</strong><br />
<strong>Build strong relationships with CAMU, Airport Authority, Regulators, and Service providers to influence decisions that may affect operational continuity.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Requirements:</strong><br />
<strong>Grade 12 or equivalent;</strong><br />
<strong>Qualification in Flight Operational Management (Advantageous);</strong><br />
<strong>Minimum of 10 years aviation experience, of which, 5 years must be management experience;</strong><br />
<strong>Experience in the following areas:</strong><br />
<strong>Aircraft Performance and Navigation,</strong><br />
<strong>IATA Slot Management,</strong><br />
<strong>Fuel Management and Monitoring.</strong><br />
<strong>Operations Support (90-day retention documents);</strong><br />
<strong>Experience with IOSA and SACAA audit requirements and engagements;</strong><br />
<strong>Non-office hours may apply from time to time due to operational requirements;</strong><br />
<strong>May be required to work weekends or extended hours;</strong></p>
<p><strong>Thorough knowledge of the following areas:</strong><br />
<strong>IATA Slots,</strong><br />
<strong>SACAA regulation on 90 days document retention Aircraft performance and Navigation,</strong><br />
<strong>Company Travel,</strong><br />
<strong>Management.</strong><br />
<strong>Knowledge of IOSA/SACAA audit requirements and engagements;</strong><br />
<strong>Computer Literacy.</strong></p>
