<p><strong>Security Officer</strong></p>
<p><strong>G4S Secure Solutions (SA), has a vacancy for a Security Officer based at our operations.</strong></p>
<p><strong>The successful incumbent is a self-starter with a proven track record in maintaining company policy, adopting best practices, and is able to exercise sound judgement in the pursuit of the achievement of the goals of the organisation, and understanding the role which facilities management plays within a successful business unit. The incumbent will be expected to be results driven and to live the values of the organisation.</strong></p>

<p><strong>ROLE RESPONSIBILITY:</strong></p>
<p><strong>Main Purpose of the position:</strong></p>
<p><strong>To provide effective security presence. Identify, prevent and minimise fire, safety or security risk.</strong></p>

<p><strong>Key responsibilities of the role:</strong></p>
<p><strong>The identification, prevention and/or reduction of security related issues;</strong></p>
<p><strong>The reporting of loss control related issues;</strong></p>
<p><strong>The promotion and maintenance of public and site labour relations;</strong></p>
<p><strong>Controlling of access and egress;</strong></p>
<p><strong>The possession of a thorough knowledge of, and adherence to site instructions and the Disciplinary Code.</strong></p>
<p><strong>The maintenance of site related documents;</strong></p>
<p><strong>Client liaison through verbal or written reports;</strong></p>
<p> ;</p>
<p><strong>A Patrolman/Patrolwoman will be expected to participate in and promote team building on his/her site and will be directly responsible for his/her uniform, any other equipment issued to him/her and any equipment on site, as well as any client property within his/her work area.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Awareness of SABS ISO 9001 &#8211; 2000; specifically knowledge of Quality Procedures as set out in the Site Procedures. </strong></p>

<p><strong>THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:</strong></p>
<p><strong>Minimum Requirements:</strong></p>
<p><strong>Grade 10+</strong></p>
<p><strong>PSIRA Grade C</strong></p>
<p><strong>Clear Criminal Record</strong></p>
<p><strong>Must be physically fit (Able to run 2.5km )</strong></p>
