<p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p>

This is 4 Year Fixed Term Apprenticeship Contract.</strong></p>
<p><strong>A day in the life of a Millwright Apprentice under supervision:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Assembling, Installation, dismantling of machinery and equipment.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Operation of machinery and equipment to understand operation and functionality.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Repair, maintain and lubricate machinery and equipment in line with hygienic engineering principles and planned maintenance methodology.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Conduct preventative maintenance on all Electrical, Instrumental and Mechanical equipment</strong></li>
<li><strong>Attending training sessions to complete logbook modules in line with apprenticeship program</strong></li>
<li><strong>Participation in Energy and water saving projects.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Participation in innovative and reliability projects to improve machine efficiencies in line with training program.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Collaboration and teamwork with production and engineering work groups.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Adherence to good housekeeping and 5S always.</strong></li>
</ul>

<p><strong>What will make you successful</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Minimum of Mechanical Engineering N2 or Electrical Engineering N2 or Equivalent.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Matric or National Senior certificate with Mathematics and Science</strong></li>
<li><strong>One year experience in a technical environment would be advantageous</strong></li>
<li><strong>Computer literacy is essential</strong></li>
<li><strong>Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.</strong></li>
<li><strong>A self-starter who can prioritize, and can work with minimum supervision</strong></li>
<li><strong>A team player who is keen on self-development</strong></li>
<li><strong>Strong achievement focus and commitment to end results</strong></li>
</ul>
