<p><strong>The purpose of this job is to ensure and maintain an efficient service, this includes following the cash register procedure and accurately ringing up sales, in such a manner that it results in an increase in customer satisfaction and continuous growth of the business.</strong></p>

<p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Greet customers as they enter the store</strong></li>
<li><strong>Follow cash up procedure</strong></li>
<li><strong>Check cash received by customer</strong></li>
<li><strong>Process EFT payments</strong></li>
<li><strong>Ensure all sales are rang up accurately and efficiently on the registers</strong></li>
<li><strong>Pack purchase items in shopping bags</strong></li>
<li><strong>Hand over cash drops to superior, for security measures</strong></li>
</ul>

<li><strong>Perform daily cash ups</strong></li>
<li><strong>Be aware of suspicious looking customers</strong></li>

<li><strong>Issue gift cards, check customers reward cards and cash in points</strong></li>
<li><strong>Responsible for housekeeping of work area</strong></li>
<li><strong>Participate in perpetual stock takes</strong></li>
<li><strong>Perform any work related tasks as delegated by superior</strong></li>

<p><strong>REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p>

<li><strong>Matric or Equivalent</strong></li>
<li><strong>1 Year minimum experience in a similar role</strong></li>
<li><strong>Clear credit score</strong></li>
<li><strong>Good customer service and Interpersonal skills</strong></li>
<li><strong>Awareness &; Vigilance</strong></li>
<li><strong>Ability to handle pressure</strong></li>
<li><strong>Numerical skills</strong></li>
<li><strong>Ability to work in a team and independently with minimal supervision</strong></li>
<li><strong>Exceptional organisational ability, high attention to detail and ability to multi-tasks</strong></li>
<li><strong>Willing to work flexible hours and holidays to meet the needs of the business</strong></li>
