Facility: Life Nkanyisa | Mangaung Correctional Services

Position: Senior Administrative Clerk

Introduction

A vacancy exists for a Senior Administration Clerk based at Life Nkanyisa Mangaung Correctional Services, in Bloemfontein. The successful candidate will report to the Health Centre Manager, Kim Christian and will be responsible for providing full financial and administration support to the Heath Centre Manager and MANCO team.

 

Critical Outputs

Preparing and capturing of requisitions, payments, and orders on SAP.

Facilitate the procurement cycle including submission of Invoices for payment

Managing allocated creditors. Reconciling, processing and liaising with creditors and hospital staff on a daily basis regarding queries on creditors.

Coding and allocation of payments and receipts in the cashbook.

Assisting the Health Centre Manager with ad hoc tasks Including month review of results

Resolving creditors and debtors account queries.

Maintaining a filing system for creditors.

Updating and management of the contracts register.

Assisting in reviewing and establishing adequate internal controls.

Reviewing and maintaining Fixed assets and inventory records

Preparing accurate and complete accruals at month end

Assist the Finance and Admin Manager with month end & Capital expenditure reporting.

General Admin duties, e.g, filing, taking of minutes etc.

Liaising with the national credit control department with regard to daily banking and bank transfer payments.

Management of petty cash

Constantly striving to improve working methods to improve standardization and efficiencies.

Be able to function at Management level providing support to the MANCO Team.

 

Requirements

Minimum Grade 12

Certificate in bookkeeping or business studies will be an added advantage.

At least 2 years relevant experience and technical skills to meet the critical outputs.

SAP knowledge is essential.

Computer proficiency in MS Office.

Ability to perform balance sheet reconciliations.

Attention to detail regarding recons

Understanding of the private health care industry, its challenges and role players would be an added advantage
