<ul>
<li><strong>Identify latent hazards and carry out risk management analyses of those hazards;</strong></li>
<li><strong>Investigate, analyse and identify root cause of all hazards of incidents and accidents;</strong></li>
<li><strong>Ensure the operator has adequate mitigation in place for identified safety risks;</strong></li>
<li><strong>Maintain the internal safety data system, to monitor and analyse trends in hazards, incidents and accidents;</strong></li>
<li><strong>Ensure continuous monitoring system that evaluates the results of corrective actions with respect to hazards, incidents and accidents;</strong></li>
<li><strong>Monitor the concerns of the civil aviation industry in respect of safety and their perceived effect on FlySafair;</strong></li>
<li><strong>Coordinate the organisation&#8217;s aviation safety programme and all related safety matters;</strong></li>
<li><strong>Cooperate with the training department with regards to safety training of employees as and when required;</strong></li>
<li><strong>Investigate all incidents and accidents involving the organisation&#8217;s assets;</strong></li>
<li><strong>Action and distribute all accident, incident and other safety reports;</strong></li>
<li><strong>Coordinate with the security personnel to ensure all aspects of the security programme is implemented;</strong></li>
<li><strong>Implement the organisational Emergency response plan Support the Quality Assurance Manager with compliance related audits;</strong></li>
<li><strong>Promulgate safety bulletins to all staff within the organisation;</strong></li>
<li><strong>Conduct meetings with all relevant personnel regarding safety matters;</strong></li>
<li><strong>Ensure that the safety equipment is in an operable state Conduct safety risk audits;</strong></li>
<li><strong>Assist the OSHE Officer in the administration of the OHSE programme;</strong></li>
<li><strong>Collaborate and build long-term relationships with key stakeholders (Internal and External);</strong></li>
<li><strong>Supervise external stakeholders with all matters relating to safety in and around Assets.</strong></li>

<li><strong>Broad operational knowledge in the functions of the Airline;</strong></li>
<li><strong>Broad operational knowledge of the principles of flight and aircraft maintenance;</strong></li>
<li><strong>Knowledge of Safety;</strong></li>
<li><strong>Management Systems for Aviation;</strong></li>
<li><strong>Knowledge of planning, conducting and finalising an Audit;</strong></li>
<li><strong>Must have knowledge of relevant regulations and standards;</strong></li>
<li><strong>Understanding human factors in aviation;</strong></li>
<li><strong>Minimum of 2 years&#8217; experience involved in the management of an Aviation Safety programme;</strong></li>
