<p><strong>Food &; Beverages Packaging Operations Learnership x 2</strong></p>

<p><strong>Applications are invited to apply for the 14-month Food &; Beverages Packaging Operations Learnership based at Heineken Beverages Gqeberha Manufacturing. Acquiring this qualification will enable an individual to perform basic operations on an automated food &; beverage packaging line within set requirements of a manufacturing unit. </strong></p>
<p> ;</p>
<p><strong>The Learnership entails the following outcomes: </strong></p>
<p><strong>Demonstrating an understanding of basic machine operations in a manufacturing and/or packaging environment. </strong></p>
<p><strong>Monitoring critical control points (CCP’s) as an integral part of the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) system. </strong></p>
<p><strong>Performing quality control practices in a food or sensitive consumer product operation. </strong></p>
<p> ;</p>
<p><strong>Competence in 3 x Machine Workplace Observations as part of the Learnership on an automated food &; beverage packaging line includes (to be decided based on operational requirements): </strong></p>
<p><strong>Washing </strong></p>
<p><strong>Filling </strong></p>
<p><strong>Sealing </strong></p>
<p><strong>Labelling </strong></p>
<p><strong>Palletizing </strong></p>
<p><strong>Depalletizing </strong></p>
<p><strong>Performing first line maintenance. </strong></p>
<p><strong>Applying problem-solving techniques. </strong></p>
<p><strong>Demonstrating effective communication skills and the ability to interpret and use information. </strong></p>
<p><strong>Demonstrating Mathematics abilities </strong></p>
<p><strong>Learner will be required to attend classes and successfully complete assessments (minimum pass rate of 70% per subject) as part of the programme. </strong></p>
<p> ;</p>
<p><strong>Minimum Requirements: </strong></p>
<p><strong>Unemployed at time of application. </strong></p>
<p><strong>Must have passed Grade 12 with Mathematics (NOT Maths Literacy) and English as subjects. </strong></p>
<p><strong>Relevant experience within a production/high-speed packaging environment would be advantageous. </strong></p>
<p><strong>Knowledge of safe working procedures. </strong></p>
<p><strong>Proven verbal and written communication skills. </strong></p>
<p><strong>Ability to function independently and under pressure. </strong></p>
<p><strong>Ability to cope with the inherent physical demands of the Learnership. </strong></p>
<p><strong>Must be willing and able to work shifts and overtime as part of workplace training when required. </strong></p>
<p><strong>Adhere to the Heineken Beverages Code of Business Conduct while in the employment of Heineken Beverages. </strong></p>
