About the OUTsurance Learnership
The OUTsurance learnership is designed to give unemployed youth practical workplace exposure while helping them develop skills that can support their future careers.
Learners will gain experience in a professional call centre environment and learn how to communicate with customers, handle different situations, work as part of a team and provide professional service.
The programme is particularly suitable for candidates who are interested in call centre jobs, customer service, insurance, financial services and sales-related careers.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate
- Must be computer literate
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must be between 18 and 35 years old
- Must currently be unemployed
- Must have been unemployed for the last six months
- No previous work experience is required
Candidates should also have good communication skills and a genuine interest in developing a career in the insurance and financial services industry.

Working Hours
Learners must be prepared to work according to a predetermined shift roster.
The programme includes shifts from Friday to Monday, with working hours varying depending on the day. Learners will also receive two weekdays off, which may be Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.
One day each week will be dedicated to full qualification training on-site.
Learners may also be required to work on South African public holidays if they are scheduled to work that day, unless the relevant public holiday is also observed in the UK.
