Job Purpose
The General Worker: Loader will be responsible for loading and offloading bread at the site.
The successful candidate must ensure that all loading and offloading activities are completed efficiently, accurately and according to the company’s standard operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will perform the following duties:
- Load and offload bread according to the company’s standard operating procedures.
- Follow the correct loading and offloading sequence.
- Count bread trays and ensure that tray balances are accurate in trucks.
- Attend daily operational meetings, known as invocoms.
- Ensure that quality bread is loaded and offloaded.
- Maintain correct stock rotation using the First In, First Out (FIFO) method.
- Report loading and offloading issues to supervisors.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Experience and Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
- Numerical skills and the ability to perform basic calculations.
- At least three months of experience in a similar position within the FMCG industry.
