Junior Developer
Corporate Services Division
Based at Head Office
Salary: R 510,458 (per annum inclusive of benefits)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Appropriate Diploma or Degree in System Development and Application e.g. Computer Science Degree, Technical College System Development Diploma
Minimum Experience:
- Development experience with at least 2 years .NET (C# / VB.NET) experience in a corporate environment
- Experience developing new front-end systems as well as enhancements and maintenance of existing systems
- Proficient with relational database design / implementation & SQL query using MS SQL Server
- Sound knowledge in development & maintenance of reports
- Support experience
Key Outputs:
Reporting to the Business Systems Specialist, the employee will:
- Develop systems accordingly to fulfil user requirement
- Perform a proactive analysis on all Amatola Water systems in order to enhance that which will add business benefits
- Provide support on all systems utilised within the organisation to improve organisational efficiency
- Provide user support for all Amatola Water systems e.g. ERP
- Proactively investigate ways to reduce support calls and problems experienced by Amatola Water systems
- Administration of all systems utilised with the organisation to ensure that user account availability
- Manage the new and existing user profiles in respect of access to related systems
- Ensure that control standards and procedures of related systems are in place
- Ensure training of end users on Amatola Water’s ERP and other systems developed in-house
- Provide user-training for the organisations ERP software as well as other systems deployed to the production environment
- Research and evaluate end-user products to satisfy the application needs of end users
Other requirements needed
- Experience in training end-users
- Knowledge and experience of relevant systems (allocated in terms of operational requirements)
An advantage:
- LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System), BAAN (ERP system) and Crystal Reports
- Experience working with WebAPI and Jquery
- Good time management skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in team environment
- Valid unendorsed Drivers Licence
