V&A Waterfront Hospitality Intern
Makers Landing has identified the need to provide practical experience for two Hospitality Interns, offering workplace experiential training as well as valuable networking opportunities with Industry leaders.
As a Hospitality Intern, you will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities at Makers Landing.
Key responsibilities:
- Storage and Equipment: Oversee all wet and dry storage areas, commercial kitchen equipment, events, demo kitchen equipment, and general hygiene at Makers Landing.
- Project Coordination: Coordinate day-to-day projects and checklist as per schedule.
- Administrative Tasks: Attend meetings, maintain stock and equipment records, and report on activities at Makers Landing.
- Inventory Management: Assist with planning and maintaining inventory to ensure controls and minimize waste.
- Facilitating Communication: Facilitate cross-channel feedback from tenants and customers.
- Compliance: Ensure all activities conform to set SOP (Standard Operating Procedures).
Requirements:
- Ability to learn on the job
- Knowledge of health and safety protocols
- Must be a South African citizen
- Interns who require workplace experiential training as part of qualification requirements
- Willing to work shifts and weekends
