Purpose of the Job

The purpose of the Contact Centre Agent is to provide efficient customer support for all inbound and outbound customer interactions within available contact centre channels in a timely, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional manner. This involves providing a personalized service to customer needs by evaluating client queries and complaints to accurately guide them towards a solution or escalate the incidents concerned for further resolution. This role operates within a fast-paced and dynamic environment with reasonably large volumes of customer interactions. Working hours are a 40-hour work week, scheduled any five days from Monday to Sunday (shift work 8am -8pm) including public holidays.

Job Objectives

Support customer interactions across various channels (including voice, email, chat, social media, etc.). 

Answer and resolve customer interactions timeously to drive a First Contact Resolution (FCR) culture, by being knowledgeable and able to troubleshoot effectively.

Responsible to continually contribute towards a culture of excellence and innovation.

Own and manage all non-FCR interactions by escalating it to the relevant Resolution Owner, gaining feedback and relaying the information back to the customer. 

Remains knowledgeable of performance requirements, brands, products, programmes and process documentation. 

Ensure necessary systems are updated accordingly. 

Provide accurate, valid, and complete information to customers. 

Ensure all Service Level Agreements are adhered to and strive to meet set KPI targets.

Take the necessary steps to drive up customer retention. 

Ensure all set Shoprite standards, policies and procedures are followed. 

Proactively seek ways to continuously improve the customer experience.

 




 

Qualifications

Grade 12 / Matric – (essential).

NQF level 4, Post matric qualification – (preferred).

Experience

+1 years in a Customer Service environment in a similar role, with the ability, knowledge and skills in providing excellent customer service support – (essential).

Knowledge and Skills

Proficient in Microsoft O365 with a focus on applicable tools to execute areas of function – (essential).

The Housing Development Agency (HDA) is seeking qualified candidates for a six-month fixed-term contract position as Administrative Assistant to the CEO, based at the Head Office in Johannesburg, Gauteng.

Position: Temporary Administrative Assistant

Remuneration Package: R19 500 per month (all-inclusive package)

Location: Head office, Johannesburg

Reporting Line: Senior Officer: Executive Officer

Reference: HDA AA01

Main Purpose: To provide support to the Senior Officer – Executive Committee to carry out general administrative duties related to the HDA’s governance.

 




 

Key Performance Areas:

General Administration

Provide support for projects and other work initiated by the CEO, HDA Executive Committee and the Senior Officer – Executive Committee.

Electronically and manually update Committee files and records, insert attendance registers, notifications, correspondence, and minutes in accordance with established referencing sequences.

Liaise with Heads of Departments, key staff, external committee members, etc, to ensure that actions agreed at meetings have been carried out.

Assist with the coordination of meetings requirements such as meeting venues, IT infrastructures, refreshments, etc.

Assist with processing and monitoring of invoices, travel claims and expense claims for payment.

Coordination of reports to be submitted to the Board and Sub-Committees for all meetings and preparing cover pages to be approved by the CEO.

Manage and coordinate travel requirements for the Office and EXCO members in consultation with EXCO Coordinators and to ensure that travel is aligned with approved travel policies and National treasury guidelines.

Document Management

Oversee the storage and maintenance of existing documents within the Office of the CEO.

Oversee and manage the Office of the CEO document and management (IMIS) system.

Monitor and update stored information and data.

Maintain database of service providers, clients and other key stakeholders on programme and projects.

Support the department in quality management systems implementation and management.

Ensure effective and efficient document movement and tracking for approvals between departments.

Financial Planning and Management

Assist with monitoring departmental spending of ongoing projects against the budget.

Assist with management of the department procurement and related requirements.

Manage the submission of invoices to finance department and ensure invoices are paid on time.

Ensure compliance and adherence to HDA procurement processes both internally and externally.

Qualifications and Experience:

Grade 12 or similar qualification.

Post-matric qualification will be an added advantage.

Relevant experience in administration and coordination.

Competent in Ms Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Ability to communicate effectively.

Operate independently, delivering high-quality results, accuracy and attention to detail.
